Four Calculations Test

If you are unable to print out the test write out the sum and the answers in your exercise book. Let me know via Twitter how you got on!

Maths Warm-Up

Day 1:

  • Sing along to 'Scratch Garden Count in 3's on YouTube. (PARENT: Please supervise your child when they are on youtube watching this video)
  • Write your 3 times table as far as you can get in your exercise book.
  • Find a clock in your house and see if you can tell the time. What time will it be in 1 hours time?
  • Can you remember anything about England or Wales? Write down 3 facts in your exercise book.

 

Day 2:

  • Sing along to 'Scratch Garden Count in 2's on YouTube. (PARENT: Please supervise your child when they are on youtube watching this video)
  • In your books, write down the 'switcher' version of the 2 times table eg 2x1=2
  • In your exercise books, write down a sentence for what each member of your family is doing. Can you use an adverb to describe how, when or where they are doing the activity?

Day 3:

  • Sing along to 'Scratch Garden Count in 5's on YouTube. (PARENT: Please supervise your child when they are on youtube watching this video)
  • In your exercise book, write down numbers counting in 5's. How far can you get?
  • Go to https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zyhp34j/articles/z4v3jhv  and learn more about the four countries of the UK. In your books write down the four capital cities of the UK.

 

Day 4:

  • Sing along to Jack Hartman Spanish Greetings song on YouTube. (PARENT: Please supervise your child when they are on youtube watching this video)
  • Say 'good morning' and 'good afternoon' in Spanish to everyone in your family.
  • Go to https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zxsgkqt and find out about Edinburgh Castle with Barnaby Bear. Draw a castle in your book. What would it look like? Would it have towers, a drawbridge or dungeons?

 

Day 5:

  • Go to https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z2tyr82 and find out about Wales with Barnaby Bear. Write down what Barnaby Bear saw on his journey through Wales. Where would you like to visit and why? Write your sentences in your book.
  • Choose some items from your cupboard. Label them with prices up to 99p. Pretend to go shopping and buy 3 items. Add up the cost of your items. Remember the method we have been practising!
