WEEK 3

Below are 3 important files:

• Maths home learning (this has all maths for the week on)

• RWI set 3 sounds (this has all phonics for the week on)

• Week 3 Home learning Y1 (SPELLINGS for children to learn all week)

Day 1:

• Learn new spellings - link for these is above!
• Complete day 1 of phonics - link above!
• Complete day 1 of maths - link above!
• Make a text map for an instruction list for how to catch a Paddington Bear! I have done an example on how I would catch an alien below. You can use mine to help you make your own text map on instructions to catch Paddington. 
• Read a book
• Can you learn a song in a day? Some suggestions would be Count on Me by Bruno Mars or Happy by Pharrell Williams.

Day 2:

• Learn spellings - link for these is above!
• Complete day 2 of phonics - link above!
• Complete day 2 of maths - link above!
• Using your homemade text map, can you add adjectives to make it more exciting? On the How to Catch an Alien the adjectives are in blue. 
• Read a book
• Have a look around your house for materials. What materials can you find? Find 3 materials, draw them and label how you would describe them.

Day 3:

• Learn spellings - link for these is above!
• Complete day 2 of phonics - link above!
• Complete day 2 of maths - link above!
• Using your now edited text map, write up your text map on a new page. Don't forget your capital letters, finger spaces, full stops and beautiful handwriting!
• Read a book
• Watch this clip of Barnaby Bear https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z7hvcdm Can you work out where he has gone? Find it on Google Maps/ Earth or a map!

Day 4:

• Learn spellings - link for these is above!
• Complete day 4 of phonics - link above!
• Complete day 4 of maths - link above!
• Finish off writing up your instructions to catch Paddington!
• Read a book
• Have an afternoon of learning a new skill: some suggestions are baking, cooking, weaving, construction, dancing, singing! Spend some time doing one of those things, or one of your choice!

Day 5:

• Have a spelling test! Get an adult to mark this and you can share your result with me on twitter! @MissRustonMPS
• Complete day 4 of maths - link above!
• If you still need to finish writing your instructions today is the day!
• Read a book!
• Spend time playing, learning new songs, baking etc
