Monday 28.6.21

English - We have been learning about the Gingerbread man story. (You can watch this on Youtube if you would like a reminder) We have learned the story using our story map.

Can you make some puppets of the gingerbread man and the different characters in our story and them use them to retell the story in your own words to your family. 

If you would like you could print and cut them out from the resources at the bottom of this page.

In our story we have the little old man, the little old lady, the gingerbread man, the horse, the cow and the fox. 

Phonics - Your child will know which RWI group that they are in. Please look at the activities and videos for the correct group.

Creative- Have a go at some Gingerbread man crafts. Below are some ideas of what you could do.

Tuesday 29.6.21

English - Think back to the Story of the Gingerbread man and the different characters. I would like you to draw some of the characters and then write what you think the character might be thinking in a thought bubble or saying in a speech bubble like below. e.g. The gingerbread man might be saying 'run, run as fast as you can you can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man.

English - Today in English I would like you to have a go at drawing the gingerbread man. Can you then label the different parts of his body e.g. head, legs, foot, arm etc. Like the picture below.

If you would like to (optional) you could pick another character and do the same for them.

Understanding the World - As our topic this half term is all about food. I would like you to get some colours and a piece of paper and draw a healthy meal. Don't forget to send me pictures of your meal on Class Dojo. I would love to see them.
