The Chicks visit F2

A company called "Living Eggs" brought us 10 eggs in an incubator so we could look after them and watch them hatch. 9 out of the 10 eggs hatched. We decided names for them in our Enterprise Evening with a game called "Guess the name of the Chicks" here are the names that were decided by the children.

Lexi, Batman, Horatio, Chicken, Fluffy, Sparkles, Doug, Bob, Zainey.

We have enjoyed having the chicks come to stay with us for the past two weeks and now Mrs. Smith will take them to her farm to look after them.

F2KN Comic Relief 13th March 2015

We dressed up in red to celebrate Comic Relief 2015. Then we made our face funny for money!!!

Fossil Holiday Homework

The children had to design and make a fossil using different materials for the Half Term holiday homework.

Stay and Play (Feb 15)

We had some good fun in our half termly "Stay and Play" sessions when our family came in to see what learning we do and to help us explore and play in the setting.

F2 Puzzle Workshop (Feb 15)

In our puzzle workshop we had to use our thinking skills and team work to try and balance the penguins on the iceberg, try to complete a tricky double sided jigsaw and recreate a model using a picture. Some us found it a bit tricky but with a little brain power and working together we cracked it!!

Our Dinosaur Holiday Homework (Jan 15)

Our Christmas Holiday homework was to use recyclable materials to create model dinosaurs. Above is what we created. We then hung them from our ceiling in our role-play dinosaur swamp.

F1 Rosh Hashanah

Children in F1 looked at the Jewish Festival of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) and tried some different foods that Jewish people like to eat at this festival.

Sukkot (Jewish Harvest)

In our RE lesson we looked at the Jewish festival of Sukkot and then the children worked as team to create their own Sukkahs out of natural materials.

F2KN - Writing our name (OCT 14)

We practised writing our first names outside using chalk. We copied the our name from our teacher's writing in the cursive script. We then had a go at this independently.
