Week 12

Day 1:

  • Learn new spellings
  • Complete day 1 of phonics - today's sound is 'ear'
  • Complete day 1 of maths. Please join in with Jack Hartmann's 'Count to 100: version 3' on YouTube (please supervise)
  • Re-read Sayeeda the Pirate Princess. Then, read through her diary. She has forgotten all of her capital letters and full stops! Can you help her by putting them in the right place? Have a go today.
  • Have a go at doing some exercise. Joe Wicks has his PE on a Monday or you could have a go at Cosmic Kids Yoga. (please supervise)

 

 

Day 2:

  • Practice spellings
  • Have a go at day 2 of phonics - today's sound is 'ure'
  • Complete day 2 of maths. Have a go at joining in with Jack Hartmann again. (please supervise)
  • Re-read Sayeeda the Pirate Princess. Today's task is to re-write Sayeedas diary (including capital letters and finger spaces) in your very best handwriting! I would love to see the finished product on twitter, @MissRustonMPS.

Day 3:

  • Practice spellings
  • *no phonics*
  • Complete day 3 of maths work
  • Re-read Sayeeda the Pirate Princess. Once you have done this, follow the instructions on page 13 to make your own pirate hat. Can you decorate it too?

Day 4:

  • Practice spellings
  • Complete day 3 of phonics - today's sound is 'tion'
  • Complete day 4 of maths
  • Re-read Sayeeda the Pirate Princess. Once you have done this, read the storytime speech bubble on page 14. Make up a story for this boy, Fergus. It might help to plan your story using the planning sheet! 

 

 

Day 5:

  • Have a spelling test
  • Complete day 4 of phonics - today is review day! Don't forget your sylables!
  • Complete day 5 of maths, including your friends of 10 challenge!
  • Have a read through of the plan you made for your story about Fergus. Have a go at writing up your story. Don't forget the key words given on page 14. *Don't forget your capital letters, finger spaces, full stops, adjectives and beautiful handwriting!*
