We made life size shields and learned about Roman numerals.

Spring 1 Week 2
This week we have been 'Dragon Experts' and used drama to show our knowledge of dragons.
We made news reports to demonstrate this, it was so much fun.

Spring 1 Week 3
Another fun packed week we have had in Morley Class making borders for mosaics, and learning about Moses in RE.
We used wooden sticks to print our mosaic borders.

I won the design a poster competition for the 'Marshlands Marvellous Meals'

Spring 1 Week 4
Another busy week with lots of fun activities. We have been writing non-chronological reports on
dragons and using the musical instruments to complete a pentatonic scale.

Spring 1 Week 5
The weeks are passing very quickly now in Morley Class we are having lots of fun but working
very hard on our targets.
This week we have been busy looking at rounding to the nearest 10 and 100 in maths, completing our very own non-chronological reports and learning about Hadrian's wall in topic.
This week we have our greatest number of Dojo's to date which shows what a great week we have had. Well done to Dylan and Isobel for being our Dojo masters of the week.

Spring 1 Week 6
Good week this week in Morley Class with lots of learning done.
We have been learning a new text map this week called 'IGNIS' The children have each created their own section to learn.
In maths we have been looking at place value and partitioning.
In topic this week the children had a debate on whether 'Boudicca' should fight against the Roman armies. The children were able to give very good arguments for and against.

Lots of fun activities this week including a Bench ball competition against Manor Class that we WON!! Well done to everyone.
We have completed mosaics and started a new English topic on 'Wishing -Tales' the children can all say what they would like to be when they grow up. They can also say other more glamourous things they would like if they could wish for them.

Fantastic first week of the half term, World Book Day and taste testing Spanish foods.

Spring 2 Week 2
Another busy fun filled week. We began with our first assembly in 2 years!! It was lovely to be in the hall with other year groups accepting our 'Star of the Week' awards.
Tuesday then started with our second outdoor learning session with Mrs Latham- It was great fun!

As part of our D&T topic on Spanish foods we used the Ipads to research tapas recipes.

Spring 2 Week 3
Another fast paced week this week in Morley class. Ending in a non-uniform day for Comic Relief.
We have been in Dragon's den this week selling our products using persuasive language and looked at fractions in maths (yes, Mrs Harrison used pizza as an example!)
We are also looking at Spanish tapas fit for a King.

Wow, the weeks are going quickly in this Spring term only two more weeks till Easter!
The children this week have been researching the Roman invasions and their impact on Britain.
Learning how to roll correctly in PE and they even talked Mrs Harrison and Mr Wilkinson into demonstrating for them!
Maths has been tricky this week as we have been looking at fractions and finding equivalents.

We have had lots of fun this week in Morley Class, we have made a tapas meal that the King of Spain approved of, we have made chocolate lollies and designed our own chocolate bar wrappers.

What a fab end to the Spring term. We have been busy today making Easter cards and baskets. We had a visit from the Easter bunny who left us an egg each.
